About Us

Mission Statement

Our Mission at Lots of Hugs is to provide safe, affordable, high quality education and care for our children in our community. In doing so we support families in their effort to reach their goals. We have a home environment where every child is respected and valued. We have a cognitive based programme to help children’s holistic development at their own pace. We are here to support and encourage families in bringing up their children with quality care and education.

Education & Learning

We realize the importance of the early years in your child's learning. We have comprehensive learning programmes to cover a wide array of areas to cater for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Our children keep their own profile book in which their progress is recorded. These books provide an excellent record for primary school enrolment.

Individual learning includes pre reading and language, early maths and printing skills.

The pre-schoolers will also be encouraged to learn and enjoy working with computers.

Te Whaariki

Our programme incorporates the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum called Te Whaariki you will see and hear the five strands of Wellbeing, Belonging, Communication, Contribution and Exploration woven into everything that incorporates the child's day at the centre.

The Nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit – Love , joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control will be incorporated into the daily activity which helps the children to develop a good

  • Relationship with family & community.
  • And a strong foundation as an individual.
